Looking ahead to 2025

As we wind down for the holiday break I always like to look back and reflect on the year we have been through for any lessons of note. These lessons can be valuable insights that will help me formulate a plan for the year ahead, so I usually put a day or two aside after Christmas (but before the New Year) to sit down with my notebook and start mapping out the next 12 months.

Review the plans you made last year and whether you achieved them partially or fully - if not, why not? Are there any habits or behaviours you need to change? Are those plans you made still relevant and worthy of carrying forward or should they be dropped?

Consider what’s working and what isn’t - what would you like to do more of? What would you like to do less of in 2025? Most of all - do you feel you are living in alignment with your values? Are you even clear on your values?

This is a key point to remember - your time is precious, try to ensure you are spending it doing the stuff that makes you happy or proud – it’s not the years in your life that count, it is the life in your years!

🚨 There’s still time!!🚨

Start 2025 as you mean to go on by setting some big goals and laying the foundations to transform your life completely, from your mindset and confidence as an investor, to your ability to spot a deal and understand how to take advantage of it.

January 2025 intake for my Accelerator is still open - start the new year with an exciting plan and an excellent support network.

Gaining a clear understanding of how investment strategy and risk mitigation works, plus the finer details of financial analysis and portfolio creation - if all of this sounds of interest, then my Accelerator is for you.

  3. Remember all the resources you have.
  4. Concentrate on what you can influence, don't worry about what you can’t.
  5. Remember that it’s all a test: you’ll come through the other side stronger.

If I say ‘investment’, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Do you immediately think of bankers, traders, Wall Street and the Stock Exchange? How often do you think about investing in yourself? I don’t mean that in terms of making investments – status symbols like a flashy watch or a great car. I’m talking about investment in terms of your own development. Investing in yourself isn't just about the financial side of things—it's about building a better version of you. Most people focus...

One of the biggest rules in improvisation is that you must always say ‘Yes, and…’ to continue your scene. Anything else closes everything down and doesn’t allow for any creative play. This is a good lesson to take into the real world, I think. When I’m talking to someone, and especially if they’ve asked me for advice, my heart sinks when I hear them say ‘Yes, but…’. What generally follows is a collection of reasons why something won’t work, why they don’t want to try a particular thing, it...

Ireland goes to the polls today, in what’s looking to be a close race between the parties. Just like with the US and UK elections this year, some people might struggle with deciding who to vote for – a lot of the time it might feel like there’s no ‘ideal’ candidate, and instead you have to go with whoever is the ‘least bad’. ‘Least bad’ should never be your best option. But when you’re faced with difficult choices or decisions, where do you start? This is where having clear goals and values...
