If I say ‘investment’, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
Do you immediately think of bankers, traders, Wall Street and the Stock Exchange?
How often do you think about investing in yourself? I don’t mean that in terms of making investments – status symbols like a flashy watch or a great car. I’m talking about investment in terms of your own development.
Investing in yourself isn't just about the financial side of things—it's about building a better version of you.
Most people focus on external achievements—career, finances, status—but maybe it’s time for you to think about starting from the inside. Physical health is your primary investment, and as I often say, your health is your wealth. Regular exercise, proper nutrition, and consistent sleep aren't luxuries; they're fundamental maintenance for your body and mind.
Mental development is equally important, to keep your mind sharp and to stop you from getting stagnant. Continuous learning and mastering your mindset are both great ways to keep you at the top of your game.
Now, you might thing that investing in yourself, in your development, is self-indulgent. I think that’s a terrible way to look at it! It’s not about self-indulgence, it's about becoming more effective, resilient, and fulfilled – putting you on the path to achieving your goals.
Your most valuable asset is you. Start investing!
